  1. Monday February 21st...
One week to go and I'm off to Oz.
I'm so very looking forward to this trip. It has been 12 years since the last one and this time it is simply a holiday.
I will be visiting me dear brother and my two great nephews, Aunty Raie, cousins and old friends. Tim, Cheryle and I are going to cook together for three or four days in their state-of-the-art kitchen in Bathurst.
Packing has started, tomorrow I cull. Just three pairs of shoes, said Lisa. I am down to runners, sandals and Rockport flats.

  4. Yikes,
I was trying to reply to your comments, Tedward and Nic and somehow or other I was bounced to the blog of a young Chinese fella in a picture of him goofing around in front of a tank!
It's a different world out here in cyberspace!

  5. Hey El!! Saw Mum today, aka Auny Raie, she and all of us are very much looking forward to seeing you! What with fire, locust plagues, floods, and now earthquakes in our dear neighbor country New Zealand we pray you travel safe and take care. Love always xxx

  7. Hi Bev,

I included your Mum, aka Aunty Raie in my blog notice. Do you think she knows how to access it?

I'm off to Ottawa on Friday to deliver Beau to Eliza and Steve. He will stay there while I am away. Poison Ivy will stay here with Isabelle and Lydie my neighbours from downstairs.

Tomorrow at school together with The Montreal Highlights Festival we are celebrating women chefs by inviting a panel of past women students who have gone on to fame and fortune in the cooking world to participate in a symposium set up by one of my colleagues Nancy.

The Highlights Festival is an annual event and part of the Festival celebrates food. This is the year of Women Chefs. Not long ago Australian Chefs were celebrated, last year chefs from Portugal and South America. Visiting chefs cook along side high end chefs in their kitchens.

It was -17 C today and icy in the park. I won't miss that. It will be spring when I return.
